Camping tip #3 - the tarp
Now some may camp with only tents and some may camp with a dining tent. Over the years we have favoured a cover over the picnic table rather than the dining tent. This gives us freedom of movement and a breeze while being sheltered from the rain. Setting up the tarp is a vectorial exercise to minimize the movement caused by winds. This requires many ropes. I prefer to tie a 10 inch adjustable wrench to the lines when setting them over branches. This job is usually done in the absence of spouse and children, but always accompanied by a brew.
